t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 is a major contributor to the classic and hypnagogic subgenres of vaporwave. From the very beginning the artist was known for it’s unique phasing sound, which quickly became known as slushwave. In 2015 the artist teamed up with Hong Kong Express to form “2814” and they delivered a groundbreaking album titled “新しい日の誕生” (Birth of a New Day). An album that would set the bar at a new height for vaporwave and dreampunk.
Four years later he worked with 猫 シ Corp. on instant classic “Building a Better World” – exploring the sounds of dystopian Earth and utopian worlds. In 2019 t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 has made a soundtrack for the Flora Miranda’s Lalaland Fashion Show and played live at both Electronicon 1 and 2.
In recent years t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 has been working with his significant other Agia on their Lovers Entwined project and in 2020 they have released “The Way” on Hiraeth Records. Exploring a sound leaning more towards a Japanese jazz, new age and funk sound; mixed in the typical t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者 style!
